(There isn’t a successful arts organization we know of that thrives without dedicated volunteers, the Carolina Music Museum is no exception. We will be pleased to feature those who have meant so much to us as we begin our first year on Heritage Green.)

Barbara Burton is a relative new-comer to the Greenville area. Two years ago she moved to Fountain Inn from Daytona Beach, Florida, where she had lived most of her adult life. She has been delighted to discover the Carolina Music Museum, and has especially enjoyed attending the many wonderful chamber music concerts and lunch-and-learn sessions.

Barbara was a business and computer professor at Daytona State College for 24 years, and has played both the cello and viola da gamba for many years. Since moving to the Greenville area, she enjoys playing with the Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra and with local early music players. She has two sons, both living in the area, and three adult grandchildren.

(If you’d like to volunteer at the museum please contact our office at 864.520.8807. There are number of opportunities and one will surely fit your interest.)
