Fabio Parrini, Schubert and Chopin at the Carolina Music Museum Thursday, May 4 at 7:30 pm
Fabio Parrini, Chair of the Piano Department at North Greenville University, will be performing a program of Frederic Chopin and Franz Schubert at the Carolina Music Museum at 7:30 PM on Thursday, April 4. Parrini, a Steinway artist, has a rich array of recordings, live broadcasts, concertos, solo recitals, chamber music and collaborations with orchestras, choirs, opera productions and performances at summer festivals on his resume. A Fulbright Scholar, a Kahn Award winner from Boston University, he has coached for the Philadelphia International Music Festival, given master classes at Clemson University, the Longy School of Music at Bard College, Emporia State University, and the University of Southern Mississippi, to list only few. He holds degrees from the Conservatory of Padua in Italy, and Boston University, and has studied with Anthony di Bonaventura, Micaela Mingardo, Gyorgy Sandor, Bruno Mezzena and Adriana Rogoni. Among his many musical partners are the very talented members of his family, Sherry (piano), daughter Maria, a recent graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied with Antonio Pompa-Baldi, son Samuele, who is attending the Schulich School of Music at McGill University in Montreal and is in Axel Strauss’s studio.
